Responsibilities
As a Software Senior Engineer at Dell Technologies, you will:
- Contribute to the design and architecture of complex, high-performance systems and storage environments.
- Develop and enhance core software for Dell PowerScale storage systems that support big data workloads.
- Prepare, review, and evaluate software/storage specifications for enterprise products.
- Implement and optimize test strategies for large-scale distributed storage and data management systems.
- Work in an Agile Scrum team environment, collaborating to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience in C, C++, Python programming, data structures, and parallel programming.
- Expertise in developing software for Unix, Linux, and FreeBSD operating systems at a user-space level.
- Proven experience in large-scale distributed systems and storage networking protocols/architectures.
- Strong background in the Agile Scrum model of software development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Desirable Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
