Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at Siemens Bangalore, you will:
- Develop software solutions using Sinumerik PLC programming.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Siemens hardware components.
- Support the team by providing technical clarifications and expertise.
- Participate in requirement discussions with partners to automate test cases.
- Implement model-based testing and contribute to validation processes.
- Operate and commission 1500 PLC and Sinamics controls.
- Take part in product design reviews by analyzing functional requirements and identifying potential issues.
- Maintain domain knowledge through training and continuous learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics.
- 2–3 years of experience in PLC programming using TIA Portal and drive configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Structured Control Language (SCL).
- Hands-on experience with 1500 PLC and Sinamics controls.
- Basic knowledge of Test Studio and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
