Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software for reliable solutions.
- Collaborate with product teams to design and manage CI/CD pipelines for scalable software delivery.
- Define, monitor, and maintain service level indicators (SLIs) and objectives (SLOs).
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and tracing systems for comprehensive system visibility.
- Participate in design reviews to improve architectural resilience, fault tolerance, and scalability.
- Lead incident response management, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues affecting system performance and availability.
- Drive adoption of reliability, resiliency, and software engineering best practices across the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering or SRE roles.
- Strong experience with at least one programming language: Java, Python, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, PyTest).
- Proficient in distributed systems, reliability patterns, and fault-tolerant design.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, including process and memory management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale production systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of Java and JVM internals, object-oriented programming, and best practices.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) including deployment, management, and optimization.
- Exposure to the financial services / fintech industry.
