Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance the reliability and availability of ESX environments.
- Analyze system performance and implement optimization strategies for ESX hosts and VMs.
- Set up and manage monitoring tools and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
- Ensure ESX environments adhere to security policies and compliance requirements.
- Respond to and resolve incidents, performing root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and remediation tasks.
- Foster a team culture emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of applied experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or software engineering.
- Strong experience with VMware ESX/ESXi, vCF administration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with incident management and large-scale environment troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and automated testing.
- Experience with monitoring tools like vRealize Log Insight or vRealize Aria Operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to financial services or regulated environments.
