Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Leading the structural analysis and design of high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.
- Preparing, validating, and reviewing structural drawings, reports, and design documents.
- Conducting feasibility studies and technical evaluations of structural systems.
- Coordinating with architects, MEP consultants, and contractors to align design intent and construction execution.
- Performing peer design reviews and validating consultant submissions.
- Addressing site-level structural queries and providing timely resolutions.
- Implementing value engineering to optimize cost and construction timelines while maintaining safety and quality.
- Ensuring compliance with IS codes, NBC, and relevant international structural standards.
- Utilizing design tools such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, and AutoCAD for structural modeling and detailing.
- Supporting construction teams with technical documentation and design clarifications.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in structural analysis using ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of structural systems for high-rise and commercial buildings
- Knowledge of Indian and international codes (IS, NBC, Eurocode, etc.)
- Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings for structural coordination
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and value engineering capabilities
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience working on large-scale real estate or infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BE/B.Tech)
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- 12–14 years of hands-on experience in structural design for the built environment
