Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer at Dell Technologies, you will:
- Design and develop storage monitoring solutions for Dell storage customers.
- Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade software systems with focus on quality, scalability, performance, and usability.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers across global teams.
- Prepare and review software/storage requirements and specifications.
- Translate verbal requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Follow defined software lifecycle methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Review and implement test strategies to deliver high-quality releases in every iteration.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with Java and Python.
- Expertise in REST API development and databases including SQL and NoSQL (Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
- Strong background in unstructured data management, focusing on data security, access, modeling, and metadata management.
- Proficiency in design patterns for building enterprise applications (on-prem & cloud).
- Proven ability to design and architect distributed systems for storage and infrastructure monitoring products.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML5, JQuery, Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
