Responsibilities
- Feature Design & Development: Design and implement complex features for SQL Database Engine, focusing on metadata, indexes, DDLs, and database structures like b-trees and heaps.
- Quality & Stability: Apply performance metrics and best practices to ensure high-quality, stable, and scalable code.
- AI Integration: Leverage AI tools for code productivity, debugging, and testing.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, foster technical discussions, and promote software engineering best practices within the team.
- On-call Rotation: Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation to support the health and performance of millions of databases globally.
- Customer-Centric Development: Continuously prioritize customer needs and work collaboratively to deliver solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of programming experience with C++, C#, or Java.
- Strong understanding of database systems, storage systems, and software engineering principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively, solve complex problems, and lead teams effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and multithreading.
- Expertise in database internals, storage systems, column stores, and AI-driven database technologies.
- Proven track record of shipping production-grade software and services.
