Responsibilities
As a Senior Principal Engineer at Dell, you will:
- Lead UEFI firmware design, triage, and solution development for Dell Core BIOS.
- Drive adoption and development of CI/CD processes and tools for streamlined software delivery.
- Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, and best practices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle—design, development, testing, continuous delivery, and issue resolution.
- Actively contribute as part of an agile development team, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- 12–25 years of experience in BIOS firmware, AI/ML, or software development with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Strong programming expertise in C (primary) and C++ (secondary).
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system programming (IPC, multithreading, low-level system calls).
- Hands-on experience with Linux build systems, OpenBMC, and Yocto framework.
- Strong understanding of architecture, design, and debugging in complex systems.
Desirable Requirements
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, languages, and operating systems.
- Contributions to open-source projects or published technical research.
