Role Overview
KPMG Global Services is seeking a Senior in IT Audit & Assurance, Risk Consulting to join our Bangalore office. This role is ideal for professionals with 4–6 years of IT audit experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm, who can lead IT control assessments, identify risks, and drive improvement across clients’ technology environments. The Senior will also mentor and upskill team members while delivering high-quality audit outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Audit & Risk Assessment
- Plan and execute internal audits and IT control assessments in IT strategy, governance, operations, network & infrastructure security, cloud and third-party risk, programs, automation, GITCs, application controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Review clients’ processes and controls against industry best practices and frameworks. Identify gaps and communicate recommendations to engagement leads and client management.
- Assist in implementing new processes and controls to mitigate key risks.
- Draft executive summaries and final audit reports for senior management.
- Document and review engagement workpapers following KPMG and industry-standard internal audit methodologies.
Team Leadership
- Assist Assistant Managers and Managers in team management and upskilling.
- Act as a mentor and performance manager, guiding team members in technical and professional development.
- Participate in kick-off, status, and closing meetings with engagement teams and clients.
Technical Expertise
- Conduct IT General Controls (GITCs) and IT Application Controls testing.
- Perform IT Internal Audits, IT Risk Assessments, and Third-Party Risk Management.
- Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of technology controls across ERP suites, Windows, Unix/Linux, iSeries, Oracle, DB2, SQL, and cloud platforms.
- Work on Identity & Access Management aspects including user management, authentication, and authorization.
- Ensure compliance with regulations impacting the privacy, integrity, and availability of customer PII.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Education: BE/B-Tech, MCA, BSc-IT, or MBA.
- Certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CCSK (certified/cleared preferred).
- Experience: 4–6 years in IT audit or risk consulting; Big 4 experience preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: ERP suites, Windows, Unix/Linux, iSeries, Oracle DB, DB2, SQL, IT security controls, IT General Controls, IT Application Controls.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and motivate team members.
- Experience with financial services clients preferred.
