Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom NX/CAD applications utilizing NXOpen APIs in C#, C++, and Python.
- Create automation scripts and tools to boost design and product development productivity.
- Customize NX user interfaces, templates, and dialogs to align with business needs.
- Perform XML data transformation using XSLT for seamless CAD-PLM integration.
- Handle lightweight 3D model visualization and CAD data processing using OpenJT.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and PLM teams to understand and implement technical requirements.
- Conduct CAD tool enhancements, unit testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Integrate NX applications with PLM systems such as Teamcenter (desirable).
Required Skills & Technologies
- Strong proficiency in NXOpen API programming with C#, C++, Python.
- Experience with CAD scripting languages like NX Journaling, Python, and VBScript.
- Expertise in XSLT for XML data transformation.
- Hands-on experience with OpenJT for lightweight 3D CAD visualization.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Deep understanding of CAD data structures, assemblies, and model configuration.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and enhance complex CAD toolchains.
- Excellent collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Exposure to PLM software integration, especially Teamcenter.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to CAD and automation tools.
