Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will:
- Design & Deploy Cloud Infrastructure: Implement and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Cloud Automation: Use Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Cloud Deployment Manager to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI for seamless infrastructure and application deployment.
- Cloud-Native Technologies: Configure and manage Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud-native technologies for containerized applications.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor cloud systems using GCP Stackdriver and optimize for cost efficiency and performance.
- Security Management: Implement security best practices across cloud resources, manage IAM roles, and ensure compliance with policies like GDPR and HIPAA.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues and assist teams in resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams while documenting processes, configurations, and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Strong hands-on experience with key GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Cloud Storage.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar tools for infrastructure automation.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Cloud Build to streamline cloud operations.
- Containerization: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications.
- Cloud Security: Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, firewalls, encryption, and monitoring.
- Linux/Unix & Scripting: Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with GCP security best practices and compliance frameworks like GDPR and HIPAA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture.
