Key Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure initiatives for ECIS – Egress, including load balancing, web proxy services, and security solutions.
- Maintain client and stakeholder relationships with clear communication and expectation management.
- Develop and update documentation, runbooks, and process improvements in line with engineering standards.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for proxy-related issues.
- Build, test, and deploy proxy-based security solutions, including SaaS-based gateways like Zscaler and Netskope.
- Automate tasks in the proxy environment using Shell/Python scripts and Ansible playbooks.
- Investigate security incidents leveraging SEIM tools.
- Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership and project oversight.
- Ensure end-to-end project delivery, including onboarding, network refreshes, lifecycle management, and audit compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with Broadcom (Bluecoat) devices, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec CAS, SSL visibility appliances, and SMC.
- Familiarity with SaaS Secure Gateway vendors (Zscaler, Netskope).
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, network security, and application protocols (HTTP/HTTPS).
- Experience with REST API, container-based deployment, and version control practices.
- Proficiency in automation scripting for Proxy environments (Python, Shell, Ansible).
- Expertise in network fundamentals, VLANs, routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; self-starter capable of independent and collaborative work.
