Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive capital project initiatives across governance, strategy, and execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage interfaces between project, strategy, and execution functions.
- Support strategic initiatives in project governance, risk management, contracting strategy, and digital innovation.
- Develop and track key priorities for capital project planning, execution enablement, and transformation activities.
- Provide executive-level support for leadership alignment, reporting, and decision-making.
- Drive initiative execution by identifying gaps, managing follow-ups, and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
Skills & Attributes for Success
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to convey complex concepts to executives.
- Proven ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Expertise in capital project best practices including Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI).
- Familiarity with full project lifecycle, including Front-End Loading (FEL) stages 1–5.
- Hands-on experience in project execution planning, strategy development, and risk/contract management.
- Leadership and organizational skills with experience in leading teams or initiatives.
- High initiative with ability to drive projects from concept to completion independently.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate project performance and implement improvements.
- Adaptability and resilience in managing dynamic project environments and competing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred) or related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in capital projects, including hands-on project development.
- Proficiency in digital tools and technologies enabling capital project execution and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oil & Gas industry experience in corporate capital projects or EPC environments.
- Background in corporate strategy or capital project planning functions.
- MBA or advanced engineering degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision-support skills for executive-level reporting.
- Proactive, self-starter mindset with ability to work independently and under pressure.
