KPMG Global Services (KGS) is seeking a Senior Audit professional to join its Australia-focused audit team. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in audit, preferably with a Big 4 firm, looking to take on team leadership responsibilities and international client exposure. The Senior will lead a small team, manage client deliverables, and ensure audit engagement quality in line with country-specific statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage a team of 4–5 auditors, including fresh graduates and experienced professionals.
- Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to team members to enhance performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and monitor team deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with onshore departments and key client contacts.
Audit Engagement
- Serve as audit in-charge for international clients, auditing complex sections of financial statements.
- Ensure timely, high-quality deliverables while adhering to statutory and country-specific compliance requirements.
- Identify issues or missing information, track resolution, and ensure data confidentiality.
- Communicate regularly with clients and onshore teams to update on audit progress.
Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement
- Share knowledge across the team and promote best audit practices.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency and quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational: Degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting.
- Professional: Chartered Accountancy qualification (CA/ICAI or ACCA).
- Experience: 1–3 years in audit, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
- Industry Exposure: Experience in property/real estate sector is a plus.
Mandatory Skills
- In-depth knowledge of external audit procedures for corporate or international clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage complex financial statements and audit engagements.
