KPMG Global Services (KGS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Associate / VP – KPE in Bangalore, Karnataka. This role is ideal for chartered accountants (CA/ICAI) or ACCA affiliates with 1–2 years of post-qualification audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm. As a Senior in the KPE audit team, you will deliver high-quality, end-to-end audit engagements for international clients, apply KPMG audit methodologies, and manage a portion of the audit lifecycle including risk assessments, financial statement reviews, and team guidance. Key Responsibilities
Audit Delivery
- Conduct end-to-end audit engagements for international KPMG clients.
- Apply KPMG audit methodology to complex financial statement sections.
- Prepare and document accounting workpapers, controls, and audit findings.
- Plan and perform risk assessments and review client-provided documentation.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide guidance and feedback to junior audit team members.
- Manage and track open audit issues until resolution.
- Establish strong professional relationships with clients and engagement teams.
- Update engagement teams regularly on work progress, pipeline, and client interactions.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure data confidentiality and adherence to risk management policies.
- Identify areas for audit process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Support senior management in maintaining audit quality standards.
Mandatory Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience handling audit assignments independently.
Preferred Skills
- Leadership skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Working knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Big 4 or multinational audit experience is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA/ICAI) or ACCA Affiliate.
- Experience: 1–2 years post-qualification in audit or financial services.
- Articleship: For ICAI affiliates, completion at a top or mid-tier accounting firm is desirable.
