Key Responsibilities
As a Security Officer at Pullman Chennai Anna Salai, you will be responsible for:
Lobby & Guest Safety
- Monitor guest movement and restrict entry of unauthorized individuals.
- Assist VIP guests and coordinate with management for special events.
- Ensure smooth vehicle flow at the hotel porch and enforce valet parking procedures.
- Assist guests with luggage and provide courteous support when needed.
Gate & Access Control
- Oversee security checks at staff and associate gates.
- Ensure frisking, vehicle checks, and gate pass procedures are followed.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly security records.
- Prevent unauthorized access to hotel property and restricted areas.
Receiving & Supply Area
- Monitor inward and outward movement of supplies and vehicles.
- Ensure proper use of cargo scanners and gate passes.
- Prevent unauthorized storage or removal of hotel property.
- Enforce fire-safety protocols in supply/receiving zones.
Guest Floors & House Areas
- Ensure no unauthorized persons access guest or staff-only areas.
- Monitor corridors, luggage handling, and unattended rooms.
- Report suspicious activity or unusual incidents to the Security Manager.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or relevant certification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hotel or facility security role.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, traffic control, and emergency response.
- Detail-oriented, alert, and capable of handling high-pressure situations.
- Physically fit and well-groomed with a professional appearance.
