🌟 Key Responsibilities
Reservation Management
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or email.
- Verify room availability, rates, and group market codes.
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to guests.
- Accommodate and document special guest requests.
- Maintain accurate records and input data into the reservation system.
Guest Experience & Service
- Provide accurate information about property facilities, room accommodations, and services.
- Respond to guest issues, troubleshoot problems, and escalate as needed.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and welcoming communication style.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Assist management in training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating team members.
- Serve as a role model for Marriott’s Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies, appearance standards, and operational procedures.
Revenue & Operational Excellence
- Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Set up proper billing accounts in accordance with Accounting policies.
- Review and implement new reservation procedures as needed.
✅ Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in hotel reservations; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain accuracy, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and property management systems is a plus.
