Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AI Innovations: Drive the development and implementation of scalable infrastructure to customize speech models and build next-gen AI systems for multilingual transcription, voice agents, and video translation.
- Drive Technical Direction: Lead the strategy for AOAI model customization, enhancing engineering efficiency and data processing capabilities to meet Microsoft’s global standards.
- Innovate in Speech AI: Develop cutting-edge solutions to synthesize complex speech scenarios and fine-tune models to improve accuracy and performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Microsoft teams worldwide to deliver impactful AI solutions that meet the needs of enterprise clients.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor and influence engineers, sharing technical expertise, and fostering a growth-driven, inclusive team culture.
- Research & Publications: Contribute to patents, publications, and represent Microsoft’s technical leadership in conferences and journals.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in designing, building, and deploying large-scale AI systems with expertise in speech technology, generative AI, and multilingual model development.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar programming languages, with experience in large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality AI solutions in complex environments.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Speech & Audio Processing Expertise: Experience with speech processing, voice agent technologies, and multilingual AI models.
- Cloud & AI Platforms: Familiarity with Azure and enterprise-scale deployment of AI and speech technologies.
- Research Contributions: Contributions to open-source projects, patents, or top-tier publications in AI and speech technology.
