Key Responsibilities
As a Markets Analyst – APAC Commodities, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and distribute market updates, research reports, and marketing materials for Sales teams.
- Conduct detailed analysis of global metals, energy, and agricultural markets, providing sectoral insights and market color.
- Generate new trade ideas and support Sales teams in structuring innovative solutions.
- Build pitch books, presentations, and Excel models for client engagements and internal strategy.
- Manage data in internal systems and ensure accuracy of trade execution records.
- Coordinate with legal, operations, and control teams to support pre-trade and post-trade processes.
- Back-test performance of new trades and assist in pricing strategies across multiple asset classes.
- Prepare indicative term sheets and documentation for executed trades.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Understanding of financial products including FX Options, Rates, Equities, Fixed Income, and Commodities.
- Strong professional integrity and commitment to client service.
- Demonstrated interest in global financial markets.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in financial services support roles or investment banking operations.
- Knowledge of market research tools, pricing of vanilla and exotic solutions, and client-facing activities.
- Advanced Excel and data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to trade origination, syndication, and operational workflows.
