Summary
McKinsey & Company is seeking a highly skilled Manager – Security Operations & Resilience to lead security operations for our India offices, Sri Lanka, and South Asia (excluding Pakistan). This role is ideal for professionals with 7+ years of security, risk, or project management experience, including managerial experience in South Asia. You will oversee incident management, physical security, travel safety, and workplace resilience programs, ensuring the firm’s people are safe and secure in all operational contexts. Responsibilities
- Lead security operations and resilience programs for McKinsey offices in India and South Asia.
- Oversee implementation of global safety programs, including Women’s Ground Transport Safety initiatives.
- Ensure workplace compliance with safety and security requirements; monitor dashboards to track adherence.
- Develop and maintain site recovery and contingency plans for risks like earthquakes and seasonal threats.
- Manage India-based Security Coordinators and vendor pool to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to and mitigate complex security incidents, triaging incoming queries and maintaining quality data in team systems.
- Build team capabilities by training junior staff and contributing to knowledge development.
- Collaborate with Office Location Managers, Center Leads, and function managers to maintain internal connectivity and effective risk management.
- Network with peers across professional services, hotels, and security networks to stay informed on regional threats and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
- 7+ years’ experience in security, risk management, or related fields; 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in South Asia security operations, including India and Sri Lanka.
- Strong incident management and program leadership skills; experience conducting risk assessments, mitigation planning, and event security management.
- Digitally, cyber, and data literate; comfortable using analytics and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities, with ability to independently initiate and complete tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with all levels, adjusting style for different audiences and seniority.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations, ambiguous challenges, and urgent security incidents.

- Experience in consulting or multinational environments managing cross-cultural teams and global programs.
