Key Responsibilities
- Lead land acquisition and site control processes, including purchase or lease of land, pathways, and pooling substation sites.
- Manage legal and statutory compliance related to land purchase, lease agreements, and documentation.
- Coordinate with state nodal agencies and state liaison teams to obtain all necessary state-level approvals.
- Facilitate power evacuation permissions in collaboration with central and state authorities.
- Develop and implement effective land purchase strategies to protect company sites from competitors.
- Obtain all statutory permissions and NOCs including railway crossings, NH/SH crossings, village panchayat approvals, CRZ clearances, Ministry of Defence NOCs, and Airport Authority permissions.
- Monitor competitor land developments and maintain proactive updates to safeguard project interests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, administrative authorities, and government officials up to the state level.
- Ensure smooth handover of developed land sites to project execution teams.
- Support Right of Way (ROW) documentation and resolve ROW issues as required.
- Facilitate availability of land for Met Mast Erection and other project-related infrastructure needs.
- Lead and nurture a capable land development team, ensuring autonomy and timely handover to projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate degree (any discipline).
- Proven experience in land acquisition, statutory approvals, and land development preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to land and property in India.
- Excellent coordination skills to work with multiple teams including state and central government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and negotiation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead, develop, and manage a team independently.
- Proficient in land management software and MS Office tools.
