Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Architecture
- Design and implement Java web-based applications for business and client use.
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional, scalable applications.
- Architect high-scale, robust, and cutting-edge software solutions.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation standards.
- Lead 50% coding tasks, including code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide, mentor, and manage a team of developers, setting vision and direction.
- Monitor workload, performance, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
- Resolve conflicts, provide constructive feedback, and coach team members.
- Manage interactions with third-party outsourced development vendors and evaluate code quality/security.
Project Delivery & Client Collaboration
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders for requirements gathering and technical guidance.
- Ensure application designs adhere to architecture standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging Java technologies, architectural patterns, and software trends.
Process & Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with Agile methodologies and development lifecycle best practices.
- Use build and deployment tools such as Ant, Maven, Gradle, and Azure pipelines.
- Leverage cloud solutions (AWS) and implement application security best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software development and 7+ years in development team leadership.
- Proven experience as a Java Architect or senior software engineer with architectural modeling experience.
- Expertise in Java ecosystems, object-oriented programming, and concurrency patterns.
- Familiarity with design patterns, scalable application principles, and cloud technologies (AWS).
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
