📋 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all operations of the Forwarding Department, including Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Collections, Regulatory Compliance, and Vendor Management.
- Oversee domestic and international freight forwarding, including import, export, and customs clearance processes.
- Maintain and manage the client directory, quotations, pricing, and furnish weekly progress reports to senior management.
- Ensure smooth cargo readiness and delivery orders while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and avoiding additional costs.
- Conduct vessel reconciliation and manifest procedures for accurate shipping documentation.
- Research potential clients, conduct business development activities, and maintain records in CRM systems.
- Ensure timely collections and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.
🛠️ Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- 8+ years of experience in freight forwarding, supply chain operations, or logistics management.
- Deep understanding of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and freight documentation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software, ERP systems, and CRM tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
