Key Responsibilities
Audit Delivery & Oversight
- Lead financial services audit engagements for KPMG Ireland clients.
- Act as the Manager on assignments, reviewing financial statements in line with country-specific statutory requirements.
- Undertake smaller to medium-sized assignments independently or assist on larger projects reporting to a Senior Manager or Director.
- Review audit workpapers, document audit procedures, and present audit findings.
- Identify gaps or missing information and ensure timely resolution of open issues.
Team Leadership & Client Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of experienced audit professionals.
- Conduct regular reviews of subordinate work and provide constructive coaching.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with onshore stakeholders via weekly meetings and calls.
- Provide regular updates on work pipeline, team performance, and client discussions.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to KPMG audit methodology and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with KRC risk management policies.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountancy qualification (ICAI or ACCA).
- 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
- Strong knowledge of financial services auditing standards and statutory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and client management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
