Key Responsibilities
Operational
- Supervise laundry operations to ensure high-quality laundering and timely service.
- Inspect finished garments and hotel linen for quality assurance.
- Maintain adequate laundry supplies, chemicals, and machine operations.
- Coordinate with the engineering team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor usage of chemicals, water, steam, and electricity to control operational expenses.
- Handle guest complaints promptly and effectively.
Business Planning & Analysis
- Assist in preparing revenue and operational budgets.
- Conduct periodic inventory and recommend equipment replacements.
- Review monthly income and expenditure reports, suggesting action plans.
- Educate the team on cost-effective resource management.
Team Management
- Train, motivate, and guide laundry staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Rotate employees across tasks to build multi-skilled teams.
- Ensure all staff adhere to safety standards and SOPs.
- Build effective relationships with service providers.
- Address customer queries and resolve issues efficiently.
Guest Relations & General Duties
- Interact with long-stay and repeat guests to ensure preferences are met.
- Oversee staff engaged in washing, ironing, packaging, and delivery.
- Uphold hygiene and grooming standards within the department.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate degree with minimum 3 years of experience in laundry operations.
- Strong knowledge of laundry chemicals, machines, and processes.
- Skilled in washing, dry-cleaning, and pressing operations.
- Familiarity with company policies, safety procedures, and SOPs.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
