Responsibilities
- Work on-site with clients (~60–80% of the time) to solve complex electronics product development challenges.
- Conduct product design rationalization based on competitive teardown, customer insights, and zero-base cost modeling.
- Support new product development, optimizing design, cost, and quality attributes.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities at system/component levels and propose modular solutions.
- Analyze product value chains to deliver end-to-end product development solutions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal knowledge assets on electronics product development.
- Collaborate across geographies and industries to deliver innovative solutions and global impact.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field from a Tier 1 institute; postgraduate degree or MBA in operations preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in electronics design, R&D, strategic sourcing, or supplier development.
- Expertise in PCBA schematic/design, system architecture, component selection, and testing.
- Hands-on experience in design-led cost optimization, material/specification changes, and architecture modifications.
- Knowledge of latest industry trends in electronics product value enhancement and cost improvement.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced, and unstructured environments.
Preferred:
- Exposure to consumer electronics, home appliances, or electronics manufacturing sectors.
