Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer III – Java, AWS at JP Morgan, you will:
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, high-performance software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and production-ready Java code with integration to cloud services.
- Develop architecture and design artifacts to support large-scale applications.
- Identify and resolve hidden technical issues to improve code quality and system resilience.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) – EC2, EKS, S3.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, agile methodologies, and application security.
- Strong database skills with SQL and NoSQL systems (Cassandra, DynamoDB).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and scalable cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of Terraform or infrastructure automation tools.
- Familiarity with the financial services and banking industry is a plus.
