Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Guest Service Associate at Novotel Chennai OMR, your main responsibilities will include:
Operational Duties
- Attend daily briefings and complete assigned housekeeping tasks.
- Understand room categories and guest levels (VIP, standard, suites).
- Clean and maintain guest rooms and assigned areas to brand standards.
- Replenish guest supplies and promptly attend to guest requests.
- Report damages or malfunctions in rooms/areas to the supervisor.
- Maintain equipment and housekeeping tools in clean working condition.
- Record room status accurately in the section room report.
- Handle guest complaints tactfully and escalate issues when necessary.
- Manage lost and found items according to procedures.
- Provide valet services (linen delivery, laundry handling) when required.
Other Responsibilities
- Follow hotel fire, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Attend trainings, briefings, and team meetings.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
- Support team members and contribute to smooth operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is an asset.
- Experience with Opera PMS or similar systems preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Problem-solving abilities and guest-centric mindset.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
