Key Responsibilities
As a Formwork Engineer / Supervisor, your core responsibilities will include:
- Deploying workmen gangs as per formwork in-charge instructions and project requirements.
- Conducting daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and reinforcing adherence to EHS standards.
- Reading and implementing formwork scheme drawings accurately on-site.
- Coordinating with carpentry workshops for timely preparation of shuttering and formwork elements.
- Ensuring material availability as per BOQ and ensuring proper stacking and storage at all working levels.
- Supervising and monitoring daily progress, productivity, and housekeeping at formwork yards and job sites.
- Supporting construction teams with the execution methodology and reporting any implementation challenges.
- Maintaining quality standards while meeting productivity and progress targets.
- Implementing innovations and improvements from HQ/cluster, especially in areas of material usage, productivity, and cost-efficiency.
- Preparing and submitting daily reports on workforce deployment and area progress.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of formwork systems, structural elements, and productivity metrics.
- Experience working with large-scale construction projects (preferably high-rise or industrial).
- Knowledge of BOQ validation, material reconciliation, and workforce optimization.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to supervise large teams of carpenters, foremen, and labor gangs efficiently.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering
OR - Diploma in Civil Engineering (with relevant on-site experience)
