📋 Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the Finance department.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and adherence to accounting standards.
- Maintain proper balance sheet documentation and reconciliations in compliance with local regulations.
- Review weekly bank reconciliations, monthly balance sheets, and financial analyses.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely preparation of financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Finance Standard Practice Instructions (SPI), Internal Control Programme (ICP), and SOX requirements.
- Assist in preparation of forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting for management and owners.
- Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits.
- Monitor daily cash position and manage banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with government tax regulations and timely submission of taxes.
- Liaise with insurance companies, banks, and other authorities regarding finance matters.
- Conduct payroll audits when required.
- Develop and train Finance team members, ensuring adherence to policies and promoting efficiency.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and internal controls.
- Take on acting Controller responsibilities during Director of Finance absence.
- Assist in providing commercial insights and financial information to support management decisions.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support hotel operations and finance excellence.
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
- University Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Certified finance professional (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in finance or operational accounting, preferably in international hotels.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in OnQ, Check SCM, SUN, OPERA PMS, MICROS, HRLINK, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to train and mentor Finance team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, especially during month-end and year-end closing periods.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations, internal control standards, and auditing procedures.
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
