About the Team – TMT and Technology Risk
EY’s TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications) practice helps organizations navigate industry convergence by driving innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
Within this space, the Technology Risk (TR) team in the Assurance function focuses on:
- Protecting business operations through robust IT control frameworks
- Ensuring compliance with audit standards and regulations
- Safeguarding data, brand, and reputation in an evolving digital landscape
- Supporting M&A activities through risk assessment and IT due diligence
You’ll play a key role in helping EY clients manage ITGC (IT General Controls) and ITAC (IT Application Controls), ensuring strong governance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessments of ITGC and ITAC across client systems and environments.
- Support external audit teams by testing technology-dependent financial controls.
- Identify, analyze, and report technology risks within client organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop recommendations for control improvements.
- Assist in documenting risk assessments and audit findings in line with EY methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of new technology risk tools and frameworks.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and regulatory updates.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong understanding of information systems, IT controls, and audit principles.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies in risk assurance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.Tech (Information Technology / Computer Science) or MBA.
- Experience: 0–1 year in IT audit, risk management, or technology assurance (internships included).
