Responsibilities
As an Engineer – Planning at Flex Sriperumbudur, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Customer Focus Teams (CFTs) with materials planning expertise.
- Ensuring timely materials availability to meet production and customer schedules.
- Monitoring shortages and preparing Clear-to-Build (CTB) reports.
- Managing work orders, inventory, MRB (Material Review Board), and DR (Defective Returns).
- Submitting Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory reports to customers.
- Coordinating with suppliers and buyers to mitigate shortages and excess materials.
- Running Kinaxis simulations and assisting in generating master production schedules.
- Performing first-level data analysis for planning and providing clean data to planners.
- Tracking inventory levels against goals and preparing analysis for excess mitigation.
- Ensuring compliance with all Flex materials planning procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or materials management.
- Strong knowledge of BOMs (Bill of Materials), product structures, and materials requirement planning (MRP).
- Expertise in Master Scheduling and Lean Supply Chain practices.
- Ability to analyze supply chain dynamics for demand pull-in or push-out decisions.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and Intermediate PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
