Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage fund accounting functions for Hedge Funds and Private Equity funds, including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and investor reporting.
- Oversee preparation and review of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial reports and investor notices.
- Collaborate with fund administrators on financial activities such as NAV/GAV calculations, market value reconciliations, and expense accounting (management, admin, incentive fees).
- Handle capital activities including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, rollups, capital contributions, and distributions with accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding fund inquiries, security trades, cash reconciliations, and day-to-day operations.
- Prepare and review primary financial statements and notes including Statements of Assets & Liabilities, Operations, Cash Flows, and Changes in Net Assets as per relevant GAAP.
- Manage and facilitate year-end audit processes with statutory auditors and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong investor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of periodic fund reports.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance their technical skills and promote professional growth.
- Contribute to thought leadership by writing technical articles or publications (preferred).
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with proven experience in Hedge Fund and Private Equity fund accounting.
- Strong technical expertise in fund accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP principles.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage ambiguity effectively.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with digital tools.
- Team player with proactive, result-oriented approach.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel frequently to client locations.
