Responsibilities
Culinary Preparation & Cooking
- Portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and microwaves safely and efficiently.
- Prepare cold dishes and monitor food quality during preparation.
- Serve food in proper portions with attractive presentation.
Kitchen Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check and ensure correct temperatures for appliances and food items.
- Follow all safety and security protocols; report maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions.
Teamwork & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with the culinary team to achieve operational goals.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support team members and assist wherever needed for efficient workflow.
Physical & Operational Requirements
- Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; bend, twist, stoop, and reach overhead or below knees.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of related culinary/kitchen experience.
- High attention to detail, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hotel kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
