Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant in Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation (T&T) practice, you will:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management & Development
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and other GCP services.
- Develop and manage scalable, high-performance infrastructure to ensure the stability and reliability of cloud applications.
- Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, optimizing them for performance, security, and scalability.
2. Automation & Process Improvement
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and updates using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Leverage Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Facilitate process improvements and design automation workflows to enhance client operations.
3. Cloud Security & Best Practices
- Apply cloud security best practices in GCP to ensure data integrity and privacy.
- Provide security solutions for cloud-native applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Regularly monitor, log, and analyze infrastructure to detect and resolve issues.
4. Client Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with process owners and business teams to understand requirements and design optimal cloud solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for automated solutions, test procedures, and deployment strategies.
- Provide hands-on support during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Production phases.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal Consultant will have:
Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Advanced certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Proficiency with GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and other core GCP services.
- Kubernetes: Strong knowledge of pods, deployments, services, networking, and storage within Kubernetes.
- Docker: Experience with containerizing applications and managing container lifecycles.
- CI/CD: Expertise in tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions to automate deployment processes.
- Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Shell Scripting for automating processes and workflows.
Certifications (preferred)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Google Cloud Certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
