🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Tool Design & Development
- Lead mold and die-casting tool design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Manage new part development projects and capacity planning.
- Defect Analysis & Problem Solving
- Perform root cause defect analysis for new and running tools.
- Implement quick resolutions to ensure timely project delivery.
- Engineering Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, Procurement, Production, and Quality Inspection teams.
- Support design amendments (dimensional, raw material, or drawing changes).
- Supplier Management & Audits
- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits (including VDA 6.3).
- Manage supplier collaboration during part development and modifications.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain ISO/EHS documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Drive safety, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Customer Support
- Address customer complaints and provide engineering solutions.
- Ensure product quality and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Data & Reporting
- Manage system data, records, and tool audit schedules.
- Prepare cost and replacement budgets for tools.
🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:
- Graduate degree in Mechanical, Production, or Plastic Engineering.
- Technical Expertise:
- 5–10 years’ experience in mold and die-casting tool design.
- Proficiency in NX, 2D/3D CAD tools, and tool development software.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle supplier evaluations and audits.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Other Skills:
- Familiarity with ISO/EHS documentation and internal audit processes.
- Strong communication skills with international and local teams.
- Willingness to travel for supplier visits, evaluations, and issue resolution.
