Key Responsibilities
Engineering Operations & Facility Management
- Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment, and life safety systems.
- Manage the physical plant to ensure optimal safety, efficiency, and functionality.
- Plan, schedule, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs.
- Inspect and assess the physical condition of facilities and recommend repairs, renovations, or replacements.
- Manage departmental budget, capital expenditure projects, and controllable expenses.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
- Lead the emergency response team during facility incidents.
- Implement and maintain proper documentation, logs, and reports for maintenance operations.
Team Leadership & Human Resources
- Supervise, mentor, and support engineering staff, ensuring fair and equitable treatment.
- Celebrate team successes and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Conduct feedback sessions and employee evaluations to ensure high performance and regulatory compliance.
- Train staff on emergency procedures, safety protocols, and engineering standards.
Guest Service & Hospitality
- Support Marriott’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences through proactive facility management.
- Address guest complaints related to engineering and maintenance efficiently and professionally.
- Empower staff to deliver excellent service while maintaining hotel infrastructure at peak performance.

- Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance systems.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience OR a 2-year degree in Engineering, Mechanics, or related field with 2 years of experience.
- Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance.
- Proven experience in managing hotel engineering operations and facility maintenance.
