Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Convert business requirements into actionable BI insights, dashboards, and reports.
- Develop data models and visualizations in Power BI to support decision-making.
- Create charts, metrics, KPIs, and documentation explaining algorithms, models, and data relationships.
- Transform existing non-Power BI reports into interactive dashboards.
BI System Development & Maintenance
- Construct and maintain data warehouses and ensure efficient data retrieval via SQL queries.
- Optimize existing BI systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Implement row-level security, bookmarks, and application security models within Power BI.
- Develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and DAX functions for advanced analytics.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and project timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure data quality and actionable insights.
- Participate in active learning, problem-solving, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the adoption of custom or third-party BI visuals for enhanced reporting.
Skills & Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 2–5 years of professional experience with Power BI, Advanced Excel, VBA, and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft BI Stack tools: SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, DAX.
- Knowledge of row-level security, bookmarks, and Power BI security layers.
- Ability to convert business requirements into BI solutions and present insights clearly.
