Key Responsibilities
As a Bartender at Novotel Guwahati, your role will include:
- Preparing and serving alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages with speed and accuracy
- Recommending drink pairings with food items to enhance guest experience
- Maintaining knowledge of cocktail recipes, wines, beers, and spirits
- Monitoring guest satisfaction and addressing complaints professionally
- Ensuring compliance with liquor laws, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Handling beverage requisitions, stock rotation, and cash transactions
- Supporting emergency and security procedures as per hotel guidelines
- Keeping the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Assisting Food & Beverage colleagues with daily operations and events
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ bartending experience in a hotel or fast-paced bar
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and mixology techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent (bartending certification preferred)
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) required
- Knowledge of local liquor laws in India
- Team-oriented attitude with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
