Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver complex backend software solutions for IBM hybrid cloud products.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and offering managers to implement AI-infused features.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle: R&D, design, architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
- Enhance existing product capabilities while ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement DevOps practices using Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, and other CI/CD tools.
- Integrate applications with databases (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and cloud platforms.
- Work with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes to ensure smooth deployment and orchestration.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a software developer, designing and delivering backend solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaEE, Python, ReactJS, and web technologies.
- Hands-on experience with application servers and middleware: tWAS, WebLogic, Liberty.
- Proficiency with databases: DB2, MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of authentication and security standards: LDAP, OIDC/OAuth/SSO.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices: Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, Artifactory.
- Comfortable with Linux, Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, and YAML configuration.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in continuous integration, HTTP, JSON, and XML.
- Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE.
- Knowledge of security vulnerability identification and mitigation.
- Adaptable and quick learner with the ability to embrace new technologies and changing requirements.
- Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset to contribute ideas and support team objectives.
