About the Role
As an Assurance FAAS – Staff at EY Kolkata, you will work on quantitative modeling, risk management, and portfolio analysis across multiple commodities (energy, agriculture, metals, and softs). This is a client-facing role where you will apply statistical programming, machine learning, and advanced financial techniques to solve complex challenges.
You will be part of a highly skilled QCC team with deep industry knowledge, supporting global clients in trading, procurement optimization, hedging strategies, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance quantitative financial models for commodities and financial contracts
- Implement stochastic simulations, market factor analysis, and valuation models
- Apply Python, R, and VBA to conduct risk and pricing analytics
- Use data visualization tools to present technical results to non-technical audiences
- Draft clear and concise client reports highlighting findings and recommendations
- Collaborate across EY service lines on complex commodity risk projects
- Adapt to new client objectives, markets, and renewable energy trends
Skills & Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years’ related experience, OR
- Graduate degree + 1 year of related experience
- Disciplines: Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, or Engineering
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in VBA and at least one of Python or R
- Strong Microsoft Excel expertise
- Familiarity with derivatives pricing models and computational finance
- Knowledge of stochastic and numerical methods
- Preferred Experience:
- Financial and commodity markets exposure
- Risk management and portfolio analysis background
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Ability to complete an approved certification within 2 years
- Problem-solving mindset with a collaborative approach
