Key Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager Purchase at ibis Styles Goa Vagator, you will:
- Assist departments in procuring all items required for operations.
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and product availability.
- Handle importing procedures, purchasing policies, and receiving processes.
- Ensure the best quality goods at the best price by negotiating with vendors.
- Maintain supplier records (price, quantity, delivery schedules) up to date.
- Obtain at least three quotations per purchase request.
- Collaborate with department heads for quality and quantity approvals.
- Manage samples and approvals before bulk orders.
- Work with storekeepers to ensure space, timely delivery, and proper storage.
- Suggest alternatives, innovative products, and cost-effective solutions.
- Comply with fire, life, health & safety regulations and local legal policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
- 4–5 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of local market and vendor networks.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement documentation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting priorities.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and teamwork skills.
