Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager in Deloitte’s Valuations Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with global Deloitte member firms (Canada, UK, Australia, Middle East, Europe) on valuation engagements
- Analyze and interpret financial statements, business plans, and industry data to support valuation exercises
- Build and validate complex valuation models for private and public international entities across diverse industries
- Conduct business valuations, intangible asset and IP valuations, goodwill impairment testing, and deal support assessments
- Draft and prepare comprehensive valuation reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with global valuation standards
- Perform economic and industry research to prepare detailed industry overview sections for valuation reports
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting tight deadlines and client expectations
- Liaise with cross-border teams and maintain excellent client relationships throughout the valuation lifecycle
- Utilize data sources such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Thomson Reuters for financial and market research
- Support audit review processes and provide valuation advisory services for tax compliance and litigation
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification strongly preferred
- Proven expertise in business and financial valuations, with a strong grasp of valuation methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles relevant to valuation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Familiarity with valuation data sources: Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, etc.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report writing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team
- Proactive, detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality client service
