Responsibilities
Restaurant & Bar Management
- Assist in daily supervision of restaurant, bar, and room service operations.
- Support menu planning and ensure food quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in all food and beverage areas.
- Open and close shifts, manage staffing, and ensure operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise restaurant team in the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Coach, mentor, and train employees to meet service and operational standards.
- Handle employee questions, concerns, and performance evaluations.
Customer Service Excellence
- Interact with guests to gather feedback on food, beverages, and service levels.
- Handle guest complaints, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
- Set a positive example in guest relations and service behavior.
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction metrics with staff.
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Ensure availability of proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms for staff.
- Communicate food quality or service concerns to Chef and Restaurant Manager.
- Monitor alcohol service to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Assist staff during peak periods to maintain smooth operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or culinary management (or 2+ years with a related degree).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, menu planning, and service standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
