Kroll is seeking a highly motivated Analyst in Portfolio Valuation for its Global Business Solutions (GBS) – Valuation Advisory Services team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with 0–2 years of experience in financial services or portfolio valuation who are eager to develop expertise in alternative asset valuation, financial modeling, and global investment analysis. As a Kroll Analyst, you will work on complex, illiquid securities for hedge funds, private equity funds, and fund of funds, collaborating with global offices in the US and EMEA. Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Valuation & Modeling
- Build and review DCF, comparable company, stock option, financial instrument, and loan valuation models.
- Support valuation of alternative investments, including illiquid securities for hedge funds, private equity funds, and fund of funds.
- Contribute to industry reports on emerging sectors and coverage reports on global Unicorn valuations.
Client Engagement & Project Support
- Assist in building long-term client relationships through responsive service and high-quality deliverables.
- Support day-to-day project management, including staffing, planning, research, and market tracking.
- Participate in project work across multiple client engagements, gaining exposure to diverse valuation projects.
Knowledge Sharing & Technical Development
- Develop deep technical strength in alternative asset valuation.
- Share insights through training and mentoring, contributing to team knowledge and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in valuation, financial analysis, or related financial services.
- CA, CFA, Master’s in Finance/Accounting/Economics, or MBA from a recognized institution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, comfortable presenting to senior management.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
