🔧 Key Responsibilities
As a Welding and Forming Junior Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and perform welding tasks on air manifolds, tubes, and sheet metal parts
- Use TIG and orbital welding techniques on stainless steel and Inconel materials
- Carry out repairs on defective castings
- Perform metal forming using hydraulic and mechanical press machines (hydroform preferred)
- Conduct fixture checks using AMF tools and SOPs
- Interpret technical documents like drawings, SOPs, and GD&T specifications
- Work towards defect-free production while meeting safety, quality, and shift targets
- Use welding accessories such as positioners, rollers, 3D welding tables, and more
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in welding and forming operations
- Proficiency in welding aerospace-grade materials like SS 321 & Inconel 625
- Certified as per AWS D17.1 standard, 6G position, II A & III B materials
- Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings and GD&T
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing X-ray quality Class B weld joints
- Knowledge of special alloy processing and airflow systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Prior experience in an aerospace fabrication environment highly desirable
