π Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager β Incident Response at Deloitte, you will:
- Lead investigations of high-severity security incidents, such as data breaches, malware outbreaks, and APTs
- Perform deep-dive threat analysis using SIEM and EDR platforms
- Guide containment, eradication, and recovery processes post-incident
- Conduct threat hunting to proactively detect unknown threats
- Mentor and coach Level 1 & Level 2 SOC analysts
- Collaborate with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and forensics teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting of incidents and resolutions
- Develop and update incident response playbooks and processes
- Continuously evaluate and improve SOC tools and procedures
π οΈ Required Skills & Tools
- Incident Response Expertise: Strong knowledge of the incident lifecycle and containment strategies
- Security Tools: Proficiency with SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel) and EDR (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Defender)
- Forensics & Analysis: Disk, memory, and network forensics skills
- Technical Proficiency: OS internals (Windows/Linux), networking, malware analysis
- Communication: Ability to clearly present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Certifications: Security+, CySA+, OSCP, CEH, or similar credentials are preferred
π Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat detection
- Experience working in or with a Security Operations Center (SOC)
