Key Responsibilities
As Senior Manager – Well Foundation Engineering, you will:
- Lead specialized concrete well foundation and caisson construction for large-scale civil infrastructure.
- Oversee well sinking in soil and hard rock, ensuring stability, alignment, and safety.
- Manage floating, grounding, and tethering arrangements for caissons in marine and tidal river conditions.
- Analyze ground conditions and recommend optimized methodologies based on soil/rock composition.
- Represent L&T’s C3 Engineering Team in internal and external meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Plan resources, manpower, and materials, ensuring daily work progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with clients and consultants for site coordination and technical resolution.
- Ensure execution aligns with project schedules, safety norms, and environmental compliance.
- Coordinate across engineering and execution teams for seamless project delivery.
- Drive a strong safety culture at project sites, ensuring zero-incident operations.
Key Skills & Competencies
To succeed in this well foundation engineering role, you must have:
- Proven experience in marine/waterfront/tidal river well foundations
- Deep knowledge of caisson floating, sinking & tethering
- Familiarity with civil construction techniques in harsh and submerged environments
- Strong planning, team coordination, and on-site leadership skills
- High-level client and stakeholder interaction abilities
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and risk mitigation strategies
- Ability to adapt to challenging geotechnical conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- Advanced certifications or postgraduate studies in construction engineering or marine infrastructure are advantageous
- Minimum of 17–20 years of relevant site experience
