Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design of mechanical systems and components including mechanisms, structures, and enclosures.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Ansys or Hypermesh to evaluate structural strength, dynamics, and vibration behavior.
• Develop CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using UG-NX (Unigraphics).
• Participate in new product development (NPD) projects, ensuring cost-effective and robust mechanical designs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and procurement teams for seamless product delivery.
• Guide junior engineers and provide technical leadership in system design projects.
• Apply design standards, materials selection, and manufacturing process knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and quality standards during design execution.
• Preferable: Exposure to on-site or shop-floor environments for real-world implementation insights.

Required Skills & Tools

• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including:
  • Strength of materials
  • Mechanism design
  • Vibrations and dynamics
  • Design of machine elements
• Proficient in:
  • CAD modeling with UG-NX (Unigraphics)
  • FEA using Hypermesh and Ansys
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and electro-mechanical system integration
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Prior experience leading or mentoring a technical design team is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. in Mechanical Design, Product Design, or related specialization
  (Specialized coursework in FEA, Dynamics, Materials, CAD, etc.)
