Key Responsibilities

📦 Materials Receipt & Inspection

• Manage the receipt of incoming materials following the R6 Rule: Right Order, Right Item, Right Quantity, Right Quality, Right Place, Right Time, and Right Mode.
• Supervise unloading activities and perform thorough material tallying and inspection for damages or shortages.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records such as Goods Inward Notes, Day Book entries, and Vendor Consignment Notes (Challans).
• Coordinate inspection processes and ensure timely completion.

🏗️ Inventory & Stock Management

• Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and Goods Rejection Memos when applicable.
• Oversee proper storage and material handling to avoid damage and deterioration.
• Conduct regular stock verification and ensure documentation accuracy for all material receipts and issues.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and ensure the store complies with safety and operational protocols.

📝 Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure prompt and correct entry of material data into inventory management systems.
• Verify and document materials before issue, ensuring correct accounting and record-keeping.
• Coordinate with respective departments for smooth dispatch of materials and related documents.
• Generate and submit regular reports related to stock status, discrepancies, and material movements.

🚚 Logistics & Coordination

• Organize material loading for transfers to sub-stores or site locations.
• Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations related to material custody, preservation, and safety.
• Manage vendor coordination for consignment notes, inspections, and material deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in stores management, inventory control, and logistics preferably in industrial or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of material handling procedures, stock verification, and warehouse safety standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to supervise unloading, inspection, and safe storage operations.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
